(May 17, 2023, 11:07 pm)I wasn’t surprised this was a good restaurant from the reviews, but I was surprised by just how good. I sat at the bar and ordered the m’hammara for an appetizer. I was a little hesitant about this because walnuts seem like more a a dessert ingredient to me (fully acknowledge that’s my personal opinion), but I was feeling adventurous. I must say woah! When I tried it I was pleasantly surprised with just how fantastic it was, and the warm pita to eat is with just upped the comfort of the dish. I also got a lamb yogurt salad dish for an entree which was very good as well, but I could have honestly eaten that m’hammara until I was full and been very happy. All around very glad I went off the beaten path a bit from my usual places while here for work. I will definitely be back again.
(April 14, 2023, 9:54 pm)I went here for dinner with my friends on friday night. We reached there around 6.30 pm. We did not have to wait and got the place soon since we went there early. Very nice ambiance and most importantly food is very tasty. We had vegetarian appetizer platter, falafel, taverna falafel and Umali dessert. Appetizer platter and Umali were my most favorite dishes.
(February 8, 2023, 8:00 pm)A little more upscale atmosphere than I was anticipating. What a great surprise. This little gem is in a strip mall next to a gas station. My new favorite Mediterranean place. I had hummus, lentil soup, and chicken swarma. All much better than anticipated.
(September 12, 2022, 10:27 pm)Don't let the stripmall location fool you, this is a very nice place. Lots of gluten free options as well. Nice ambiance with lower lighting and well dressed wait staff. Staff was allergy knowledgeable.
The menu comes with good explanations so you don't feel weird if you're not used to ordering Lebanese food.
Highly recommend the baba gannoush, the appetizer sampler, and anything with lamb.
(May 30, 2022, 12:30 pm)What is often regarded as one of the best restaurants in the Cincinnati area, and even one of the best Mediterranean places in the Midwest, I'd had their food in various events around the city. I met a friend here for my birthday to hopefully have an amazing meal...
It was okay. the service was lackluster (forgetting us at the start). My lamb pieces were great, the veggies had food flavor, the rice bland, the pita doughy and under cooked. My friend's fries were amazing, her hummus flavorful and sufficient to be a meal. Good food, not amazing. Good enough but not better than many of the other places that are much closer to the city.
