My English Springer Spaniel knows when I say "want to go to the park" that we're going for a long walk. Armco Park has some pretty great walking trails that, as long as it's not too muddy make for a great dog outing. Even on days where it's a bit too muddy for my liking, we can still walk the paved paths without becoming a total mess.
Other than dog-walking, there's quite a lot to do here. Whether it's baseball or softball, or hosting a family reunion - this park is big enough and with enough amenities to provide something for everyone.
As a special bonus: if you like Ohio Bird Watching, you'll see quite a broad variety here. Blue Jays, Cardinals in every shape, size and color, and many Red Tail and Cooper's Hawks!
I totally love this park! I go there as much as I can. They care for the upkeep of this park. Across the street they have an excellent soccer fields and in the park the ball fields are nice also.
We love this park! They have golf, foot golf, basketball, tennis, soccer, fishing, boating, wooded walking trails and shelters to house events. They also have a pavilion for larger, indoor events. They have numerous playgrounds and recently added a natural playground (think Native American playground). If they would just add a dog park area it would be perfect. Boat rentals and fishing licenses are cheap too!
Spent some of the times of my life here with my Granddad and Grandmother on my mom's side here as a young kid. I miss them both terribly but I just at these pictures and can see me and him standing on that concrete dock fishing for dinner and my Grandmother would fry them up. I'm from Louisville but this is my favorite place ever quite possibly.
Great park. Playgrounds baseball hiking and fishing canoes and kayaks. Awesome
