“Great place for a grown up getaway! Not a place I would take little ones if you don’t plan on heavily supervising to keep them from getting into stuff/redecorating. We had a good time with family, well decorated for the holiday. Mood was set well with music lightly playing upon arrival. Lots of little note cards in important places around the cabin letting you know how to operate equipment. I was not directly involved with check-in/out process but was under the impression that there was mention of fees for this that and the other, making the whole process a little scary for the person in charge, they were in fear for their wallet. We would visit again for sure!”

“I absolutely love it here! We have been a part of this barn for 3 years now, and started when my daughter 5. Jessica and Kim have both given her many amazing private and group lessons and helped my daughter over come some fears and become a great rider. We even board our horse there and I have had nothing but positives. My daughter helps out on Wednesdays with cleaning and caring for the horses and loves everything she is learning. Jessica does an amazing job at including kids of all ages and levels in every aspect of the barn and sh creates not only great riders, but GREAT, WELL ROUNDED EQUESTRIANS! Her prices are comparable to those around but I feel the barn offers more then other places we tried. She sends out monthly newsletters, has feee monthly horsemanship lessons, takes the kids to school shows if they want to show the horses, and offers makeup lessons when canceled in time (many places don’t offer this.) This is not just a barn that teaches ridding, but you truly become part of a barn family.”

“I have boarded horses with Shannon Cessna for about 12 years and the care is first-rate with excellent turn-out. As a first-time horse owner, over the years I was happy to take not only riding lessons, but groundwork lessons, dressage theory lectures, and saddle-fitting clinics. She has taught me basic horse care principles, and is VERY attentive to the health and well-being of the horses in her care. My draft cross mare is a senior and requires a sharp eye to keep her in good health. I appreciate the skill and care that Erik and Shannon spend to keep her in great shape. When my daughter was young, Shannon was her first riding instructor and gave her a solid Classical Dressage foundation which stood her in good stead when she went off to college, competing in IDA & IHSA (English & Western). My daughter is currently working full-time in the horse industry, and I'm thankful that in addition to riding, Shannon got her off to a good start with horsemanship and being a compassionate rider.”

“I absolutely LOVED this place! It was my first time EVER Horseback Riding! The owners & help are amazing! Very knowledgeable! I learned alot from them. They were so patient with me asking so many questions. They took it step by step with me. Also got to groom our horses before heading out! We did the hour and a half trail.. the "Groom & Ride". You get to relax and get to know and bond with your horse when you choose the Groom and Ride! It was the best experience with the best trails to view as you Horseback! I rode Hot Shot who is 21 years old and has been riding for 17 years! After today. I marked Horseback Riding off my bucket list... and now making it a yearly tradition with my best friend! I highly recommend for other adults who are experienced or never been!”
