It's an older establishment that's ran by a Mom an Pop. The staff are excellent and friendly. They make you feel like your at home.
The rooms are a lot older but it takes me back to my fondest memories. The rooms are very clean and the bed is very comfortable. The shower has plenty of water pressure and abundant hot water. My room had a sitting area, desk, fridge, and a microwave, but there are other rooms with kitchenette. The room and surrounding area was quiet and peaceful. I would recommend anyone to stay here. The price is affordable, rooms are comfortable and the staff can't be beat. So, if you are looking for a place that's too expensive and the staff's rude, this is not for you.

I love this little mom and pop motel! I searched online and after reading reviews about other nearby motels being rude and unclean, I decided to give Thunderbird Lodge a try. It's competitively priced and after staying one night, it was well worth it.

I booked this place online and shortly after I got a call confirming my reservation. I am traveling with my son and dog so we were able to get moved into a dog friendly room. We arrived and were met outside by the lady working the front office (making repairs to the awning). She was very polite and helpful. She offered my dog a treat and even went as far as offering recommendations for things to do in the area. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I was only passing through so I just needed a place to sleep. I absolutely would stay here again.

This is an older property they are working on to update and is a work in progress. Very reasonably priced. We paid $68 +tax. Pet friendly with a $15 fee. Exterior entrances. No elevator, but only about 14 steps to second floor. Large room. Property is very well lit at night. Very friendly and helpful Manager. Asked if we needed recommendations on places to eat. Room was very clean, comfortable beds and nice shower. The houses just north of this property are very run down, but don't let that discourage you. The property is very quiet. Of course the pool was closed and is very dirty, but it appears they are working in it. Braums ice cream only about a block away. If we are in the area again, we will stay here. We recommend this property.

This is an older place but the room we had was nice, clean and had all we needed. They are having work done to repair some things. We will definitely stay here again! Oh, it is pet friendly but there are a limited number of rooms which allow pets.

Really enjoyed our stay at Thunderbird Lodge this last weekend. The level of service by the management is something great to have in today's world. Locally owned and no frills - sure the property is a bit older. But the rooms are spotless, the beds are comfy, parking is easy - and it's affordable! Don't judge the motel style setup. This place is quiet, clean, safe and run by good people. We'll be back.
