Highland Village Park

Great neighborhood park in Highland Village. Features: Shaded playground, picnic tables, soccer field, basketball court, small forested area, walking trail around a stocked pond. No parking around it though, so it seems intended for neighborhood residents

It is our neighborhood park!!! We really enjoy it, city of Norman did very well. Great toys for kids, basketball goal, soccer field, fishing pond. Walking trail for all. Quite and family place. Just need to put in a few more trash cans. Enjoy the outdoors!!!

Very nice neighborhood park and walkway around a small lake/pond. The walkway is a sidewalk all the way to a playscape area from the street. This sidewalk also continues around the pond. You can park on the street but it has no designated parking area. The playscape is covered with a translucent fabric to allow partial sun in but to also protect children from direct sun at peak part of day. A swing set and global orb are off to the side. All the areas for kids play are on Astro-turf. A one hoop basketball court is also part of the park. City of Norman Parks did a nice job on this park.

Walking track great except for low lying areas that make you dodge the water/puddles. A drainage issue with those two low lying areas. I plan to double back and retrace my tracks the next versus circle because of the mud on my walking shoes from the low lying areas.

New, exciting playground equipment on fun, fake grass! It’s very conducive to barefoot play. The sidewalk/track is measured but can’t recall the distance at the moment. The pond is close enough to enjoy, but far enough to keep little ones from running into it without detection. There are catch and release fish stocked. There is not a specific parking lot, but because of its placement, there and many streets you can park close to the trail. It’s a fabulous neighborhood and feels safer than those close to main streets and parking lots. I think the slight walk adds to the security and ambiance of the park. Try it out!
