Made a day trip from the Tulsa area to the robbers cave area today. After our hike we drove all the way out to try this little diner and we weren’t disappointed!! The ladies working were so nice and the burgers and cake was great. Even got to enjoy it with a lake side view just across the street
Well nothing but positives here folks! We drove about 25 miles to try this little diner out and it was worth every mile. Previous great reviews are right on target!!!
My husband had bacon cheeseburger I had cheeseburger we shared the onion rings. Hubby says tea is the best he's had since we've lived here...except for mine of course😉
We got pie to go I'll let you know. I'm kinda known for the quality of my own homemade pies so I'll be a decent judge. Highly recommend you give this little diner a try...it's worth the drive!
Pie was delicious with my afternoon tea❣️
Such a neat little find by the lake.
I got the all you can catfish with fried Okra and Tater Tots plus chocolate cream pie for dessert.
The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because the pie had barely any chocolate inside. The layer was probably less than a 1/4 inch thick whereas the whip cream was 2-3 inches thick, the crust was probably one of the better crusts I have gotten on a pie though.
The catfish came with three large crispy pieces with tarter sauce that were well seasoned. The okra seemed homemade and the tots were crispy, both sides could have used a bit more seasoning.
I was thinking the tarter sauce with some Payne Country Rust Spicy Habanero pickles in there could kick up the tarter sauce and give another option, but have no complaints about the one they serve.
The atmosphere was quite nice and the staff was super pleasant and attentive.
It certainly seems like a local hidden gem. My husband got a bacon cheeseburger with fries and a huge slice of German Chocolate Cake. He enjoyed both quite a lot.
Oh, and excellent sweet tea!
My husband and I decided to take a drive to the other side of the lake to try something new for dinner. I had the chicken fried steak and he had the chicken bacon ranch wrap. Everything was very good.
She makes her desserts homemade and you talk about A SELECTION TO CHOOSE FROM!!! We ended up bringing 5 different desserts home. We haven't tried anything except my husband did take a bite of the pecan pie. He said it's really good!!!
We came on a Friday (11/10) and ordered the special of the day (catfish!). 2 specials, 1 slice of pecan pie, a water and sweet tea came out to under $36. Food was delicious 😋
Every table had brain games too 🤩
