Yokell Richard MD

I have a huge sense of comfort knowing that Dr. Yokell is on my health care team. As someone who thinks about health holistically, I was amazed to find a psychiatrist who also does. And as someone who has had negative experiences in the past with psychiatrists who are eager to simply prescribe a pharmaceutical--and so spend very little time learning about your life and particular stressors--it was a huge surprise to have a whole 1-2 hours dedicated to the initial appointments. Now that I am out of a serious episode of depression/anxiety (during pregnancy), my appointments are about 30 minutes each. Dr. Yokell's attentive listening and thoroughness in getting a multi-dimensional picture of how I'm doing have been consistent throughout.

Some patients might not care about a physician caring about them; I definitely do, and I sense that from Dr. Yokell. I can tell he's rooting for me and that he will do whatever he can to be available, should I need him. He works with all my other health (both mental and physical) care providers to ensure were doing what best for me. Again, there is just such a thoroughness to it all that I feel strongly supported. It has brought tears of gratitude to my eyes on multiple occasions.

I went to see Dr. Yokell initially because my other psychiatrist left. I am absolutely amazed at how Dr. Yokell has treated my condition. I have seen a psychiatrist off and on, my entire life. None can compare to Dr. Yokell. He is the most thorough Dr. I have seen. Taking the time to listen, adjusting my meds, assuring my condition is well managed, are just a few of his attributes. I absolutely love how this psychiatrist, has given me my life back. If you need a great psychiatrist, Dr. Yokell is the one to see.

My boyfriend was extremely sick, incorrectly diagnosed with ADHD and a depressive issue. We went to Dr Yokell for help and he gave us so much time and attention... Yokell asks "what else" and ALL the questions. He wants details, details, details. His military background offers a refreshing conservativism that paired well with our very liberal therapist!
3 months is all it took for Yokell to get my man off the wrong medicine and onto some of the right pills. The wrong meds had made him extra sick mentally. Turns out what he had been suffering with for so long was a Bipolar disorder. Time will tell us what kind. Yokell was very very careful with his diagnosis and worked with our medical history, family tree, and concerns to be completely sure of what we had been dealing with all this time.

Please see Yokell if you think doctors can't help you just because they haven't in the past; you haven't seen Yokell yet!!!! He will help you. Psychiatry is pricey, but he will do everything to help you. HE IS WORTH EVERY PENNY. He is responsible for helping to save my boyfriend. I see him finally having a shot at loving life and becoming who he has always wanted to be. We are so grateful for Yokell's work!
