Settle Inn RV Park Pawhuska Oklahoma:
Make no mistake, this is a little, no frills park that includes a small number of sites, but it is relatively big rig friendly. We had a full hookup, gravel, pull through site that was long enough to hold our truck and our camper. The campground was clean and organized as well.
The only downside to the sites is that they are built up so the rear portion of the some sites is on a pretty steep incline. Our site was like that so our rear wheels were off the ground when leveled after we auto leveled. We could have remedied this if we had realized how bad it was when pulling in earlier. We would have pulled our rig forward and parked the truck behind it on the incline.
The water pressure was consistent but low, running at about 35 psi. The the electric and sewer were fine. There is a tiny playground and very small pavilion that would hold about ten people under it. If you go here it's because it's close to a number of wonderful things to see and do or you just want a quiet bare minimum place to park.
One very annoying issues is with communication of any sort with the camp host/reservation person since they are the same person for the whole place. The website clearly says there is no response to phone calls and they aren't kidding so you must use text and responding to them was slow at best.
When we arrived there was no one to show you where to go, no map and no office. You simply drive In and drive around until you find your site number. Along with that, If my wife hadn't walked up to the camper that the host lives in we would have never found out how to pay. The campground apparently runs on the honor system, so you take your money, put it in an envelope and then put that back into a little lock box.
We never even met the camp host until our last night there. I will say she was very friendly and informative and I believe they are just giving her more then she can do and still respond in a timely manner to people.
It's good enough for what it is and if you keep that in mind you'll be fine.
Hidden Gem
Settle Inn it’s a restful campground inside of working ranch on the outskirts of Pawhuska.
A great place to stay while visiting Pioneer Woman and Pawhuska.
It is well maintained by Julie who is so friendly and helpful.
The park has 19 sites and two cabins.
The park is dog friendly and has a large area in front for the dogs to exercise.
Check in time is at 3 o’clock.
Definitely worth the wait.
Sometimes Julie may be somewhat hard to reach, be patient and call till you reach her.
Julie will answer when she can.
She works very hard to keep the park beautiful.
We will definitely be back. Hopefully very soon. Thank you Julie for everything.
Excellent RV park, quiet and wide open spaces. Laundry room was clean but small. Julie was very friendly and gave us fantastic tips for the area.
This park is a hidden jewel. Clean & quite. Don't hesitate to stop in and stay awhile
