*Check photos and videos to see the different types of terrain, trail markings and levels of difficulty of Falls Trail*Loved this place. It is easy to find, trails are mapped out many times before you get to them and they have good markings along the trail. The 3.5 mile (Falls Trail) walk was great, as it had nice paths to follow with some moderate climbs and decents. There is a welcome center at the begining with some benches to rest or stretch. The walk was mainly woods, but it follows a dry creek and many rock formations that make it interesting.
Four different hiking trails to choose from. Children's to all day depending on what you want to do. Super friendly and helpful staff at the visitor center. They even have wheelchairs with tank tread so pretty much anyone can go on a hike. Beautiful untouched landscape. If you're in the area a great way to spend an afternoon. Highly recommend this for anyone who loves the outdoors.
Very special place. I recommend the Falls Trail. There are four ancient cedars on that trail that stand out really well from the others. The park employee told me they think one of them is 700 years old. There are also numerous ancient oaks that have stood the test of time. The trail was well-worn and marked, and I didn't encounter any leaf litter.
Great way to spend time outdoors and connect to nature. God created some amazing masterpieces you can go appreciate. Here are some pictures of the sights that inspired me.
They have several different trails, they are well marked and at least one trail is wheel chair accessible which I thought was cool. I like that they have a lot of different mileage options. We walked all the trails except the trail less followed, we will tackle that one on another day. It’s very well maintained as it is a preserve. Pretty good views. The photo is of a tree growing off the face of a rock.
