We arrived at the restaurant a little after 2PM and they had sold out of ribs, chicken and turkey. So, it was beef, pork and sausage for me on the large 3 meat meal. Certainly some of the best tasting, tender, juicy smoked meats I have had in Oklahoma. The sides (beans and potato salad) were also very good. The portions were good for meats and sides. I am not a fan of the sweet syrupy BBQ sauces you typically find in Oklahoma, but their hot BBQ sauce is decent.

Every time we go to a show at Cain's we get there early for Mac's. We've never been disappointed. Everything we've tried has been great. We liked them so much we had them cater our wedding recently. The food was AMAZING. And unlike most food that gets catered, even from really good restaurants, everything was hot and fresh! There was absolutely nothing that was luke warm and stale or soggy, which is often a problem with catered food that has sat in an aluminum tub for hours under a heating lamp before being delivered, let alone served. Mac's served everything like it just came out of the kitchen!
We got compliments all night on the food. It was a toss up if we got more compliments on the food or on how good we looked on our wedding day. So be forewarned, the food may steal some of the spotlight. But it's worth sharing.
I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Even one of my friends who dismisses most BBQ as "I could do better in my backyard" told me that he was thinking about the ribs all night. I can't offer higher praise than that.

By shear luck alone, we ended up in Skiatook today. I have seen not only reviews on here but basically everywhere social media touches about this BBq place. So we anxiously waited outside till they opened and was first in the door. We immediately were hit by the wave of smoke and meat goodness that made you already water at the mouth. We were greeted with friendly service and eagerness to get us helped. We ordered and found our seat, and our meal was ready quickly, and the presentation was exactly what you would want a bbq tray to look like. By the time we sat down, this place had a line, and let me tell you, the hour we spent there, the line never ended. Their operation of order and feed was handled really smooth. I strongly recommend giving this place a try!! It would be wonderful if they offer a mustard vinegar base bbq sauce. However, to be honest, the meat didn't really need it . It was absolutely delicious and touched all the notes this carnivore girl needed. Oh an don't forget the bread pudding 😋

There is only one BBQ place to eat and that is Mac’s in Skiatook, Oklahoma. When family comes to visit out of state, Mac’s is a must on the to do list. Friendly staff, excellent food, and customer camaraderie make this place LEGENDARY.

Ok, let me first say that I am not even a big fan of BBQ! But this place is a 10 star!
Stopped here for a bite to eat before a fishing trip and was so impressed!
My husband got an insanely huge sandwich and I got sliced brisket with sides (potato salad and macaroni and cheese both on point!). The service was fantastic and our food was ready seconds after we paid. Also, what a CUTE spot! It looks unassuming from outside but the atmosphere is great. Prices were very, very reasonable for the amount of food.
100% can’t wait to stop here again when we head that way! With love from Tulsa!
