(July 18, 2022, 10:41 am)Had my wife's Mazda CX-9 in to get the timing chain/water pump system repaired. The timing chain became loose and jumped some teeth after the water pump bearing gave out. I generally do all of my own mechanic work but just didn't have the time or space to do this big of a project and I wanted to take the car to someone who seemed trustworthy. It took a while for Michael to start working on my car but he was honest and kept me up to date on scheduling. I was also very happy with how honest and transparent he was with pricing. I knew every step of the way what the breakdown of costs were and in the end he knocked some of the price off for stuff that didn't get used (easily could have been dishonest about that). On top of honesty, he was extremely knowledgable and I had confidence from the first conversation that someone who knew what they were doing was opening up my engine cover.
There was a slight issue when I picked the car up, but I was very impressed with the way it was handled and it was resolved very quickly and fairly. I've had the car back for a week now and I am very happy with the performance of the vehicle and am happy to have paid Michael to do that level of work in the engine.

I've had to take 2 of my vehicles there for separate issues and both times they gave me a great price and didn't feel like I was being ripped off or they were just trying to sell me something I didn't need. They've always been straight with me and told me what I needed immediately and what could wait. I really appreciate that and will continue to take all of my current and future vehicles there.

He maintains our fleet of cars and also I take my band vehicle and my personal vehicles to him. I have used Hometown Auto Repair for every vehicle need for the past 5 years and have never had a single complaint. Michael is not only a genius diagnostician, but he is one of the kindest and best people I have ever met. He has helped me out a thousand times and saved our company tons of money and headaches by diagnosing exactly what our vehicles need instead of trying to make the most money possible like most vehicle repair shops. He is legitimately an honest mechanic and I trust him as a vendor that we use, but much more importantly I trust him as a good person who always does the right thing. I tell everyone I know about him, because I know I am sending them to someone who is highly intelligent and will treat people right and take care of them.

I have used them for break jobs, alternator replacement, transmission flush etc. Very honest and nice people. They do great work and will have you up and running in no time. It's great to have a dependable and honest mechanic that stands behind their work. I am a customer for life!!!
