I had a great experience
Felt informed and trusted the process
Dr. Heaton is treating my mother. We totally trust her and always feel we have someone who is on our side and best interest at heart. Totally on top of things. Honest and a giver of hope.

I read your review and am very sorry for your situation. However I have reviewed all of our data that goes back 7 years and we have no patients with your name and none that have had the surgery that you describe.
I have treated 100’s of patients that are at risk of this complication and none that I have followed have ever had a pelvic exenteration from radiation complications. Many patients I treat are at very high risk due to initial stage and I have always been very proud of our groups complication rates that are less than reported complication rates. Prevention of complications require very specialized lifetime care an infection that is undertreated, a biopsy without prior hyperbaric oxygen, nutrition changes or even a severe flu can tip the balance and without a physician who knows how to treat radiated tissue issues can escalate.
Dr. Heaton was very thorough. She explains things to you well - something many other Doctors do not do. Very personable.
Everyone at Hillcrest was friendly and accomodating.
One thing. It would be nice if you could communicate with your Doctor via e-mail. I tried Dr. Heaton's e-mail but it did not work.
