Practices are guided by two very inspiring and knowledgeable instructors, their attitude of discipline and self-improvement is clearly contagious among the students.
The school maintains excellent credentials and draws from additional talent and knowledge from other schools in the country and from abroad.
I had an excellent experience here and could not help but leave filled with motivation, hope, and a need to rest my aching body. Here is a group of honest Kendo practitioners.
My daughter has been practicing here since 2015. She loves it. Wonderful Sensei and awesome dojo!! Everyone is very nice and friendly. The kendo helps her staying focus, quick reaction, and healthy. My daughter is lucky and happy to be part of this dojo family!!!
I've been practicing Kendo here since 2010. The only AUSKF and SWKIF affiliated authentic Kendo school in Tulsa. One of the very best instructors I've met and awesome club (no tuition) members to sweat together. Very friendly atmosphere yet with strong emphasis on discipline and etiquette. Great place to forge your mental as well as physical strength.
The real deal. I've trained in the States and Japan, and if you want to learn proper kendo in Tulsa, this is the only place. The instructors are great for kids and adults.
I started practice at the Shin Sou Fu Kan Kendo dojo only about two years ago, having experience at other schools across America, this one is among the best experiences I've had. The school is not a generic weapons martial arts class. Rather, it specifically, focusses on the Japanese Katana. You learn quickly how swordsmanship is not like the movies.
Classes are open to anyone, and is reflected in the diversity of its students. Most beginners at this dojo, are young adults, but age ranges from 10 to 70.
The classes are taught mainly in Japanese, and follow strict rules of conduct. Michael, the "sensei" clearly spent significant time learning kendo in Japan
If you are wanting to learn more about Katana, Japanese culture, and swordsmanship, this dojo is a fantastic.
