The water is dirty but a lot of fun. Fishing is good, some bass and cat fish. A lot of camping sites with some what nice people around. Bathrooms are nasty but 1 is good. On the north east side with showers.
Found out my Rottie loves being in the lake.. he just sinks like a Sherman tank so he'll swim with a doggie float. As always, a great time but people please! Take your DIAPERS and trash with you! Every single time I go to a river or a lake, no fail, there's a filthy nasty diaper just left on the ground. People like that are why nothing is free or nice.
This state park is dedicated to the 5 civilized tribes. It was very informative and interesting. Everyone should stop and enjoy.
Dont forget to pick up your passport sticker and enjoy the park.
Update:
I went today and it's been very neglected, was very disappointed ☹️.
Great place. Based on the 5 civilized tribes. I learned alot and have a fantastic time. The lookout over the lake is a perfect selfie spot and dont forget to pick up your hiking passport sticker!!! Enjoy.
I got the perfect shady spot with a beautiful view of the lake. Just got back from a long walk. We found a little trail that wound through the woods. One of my favorite places to be. The camp host is really nice and it's just a really great pleasure to be here.
