“Having a 4.5-star rating on both Google and Yelp confirms that the restaurant is a big hit in the community. I concede to the locals’ opinion. The Mexican food expertise of the clientele that were coming and going this afternoon would withstand vigorous scrutiny. Without question these folks know Mexican food and love Mexico Viejo Bar and Grill. Their credentials are obvious. Advice for the out of towners….Saying that you are from [fill in state] and you “know” Mexican food, loud enough for someone to hear it in this restaurant, would cause an involuntary, hissing spray of beer from their mouths, followed by a slap of the table and raucous laughter. Sit down and enjoy the food. The menu covers the OkieMex food spectrum and many traditional items like soups. Decent red salsa, thin crispy chips and an excellent roasted, medium heat jalapeno salsa, got things started. A friendly, patient and assiduous young lady was managing the floor. The food was delivered on the customary hot plates from the broiler, with enough heat to sustain the perfect food temperature throughout the meal. My wife made an unfortunate selection from the Lunch Special menu, the Sophia Special; spinach filled enchiladas covered in queso. The down fall of the dish was the spinach. Likely frozen not fresh. It was rated “not the best I have had” by my wife. Competing against spicy meats, covered in queso; this is probably one of their least popular meals. Not recommended. Real Okies don’t eat spinach enchiladas. I chose the Lunch Special Chimichanga with beef. A decent size flour tortilla, packed to capacity with ground beef, rolled and folded, deep fried and covered with very good queso. Pico, guac, rice and beans filled out the hot plate. Well-seasoned beef, smooth refried beans, fresh guacamole and average rice. Roasted jalapeno salsa added another layer of flavor to an enjoyable meal. And there you have it. It may be the version of authentic OkieMex you are looking for! “We just got here and we are blown away! Love the property driving up, love the atmosphere created, each room is so unique and the attention to detail! The younger people of our group are now sitting in the theater room watching a movie from the extensive library and eating popcorn. We booked two rooms, The Cowboy and The New York! We were leaving for dinner, but changed our mind to spend time here and enjoy! Perry is such a great host! And the doggies are so sweet!”

“Ed Gordon the minister is a master of teaching the scripture, historically connecting the word of God to the everyday realities we face. I have never not known him to be right on target in the way he brings the scripture around to make us face it in truth and with wisdom. He delivers on intelligence and knowledge of the scriptures. The church is small in congregation and big at heart with friendly people and most importantly, non judging as a group. The pulpit makes all welcome and we have African Americans and Native Americans with the majority of Anglo Americans. It's a beautifully built church that reminds me of my youth and clean and happy atmosphere. It's the perfect congregation to grow with and the dress is casual to suits. It rate it Friendly and Caring. I'm giving it a 4 star because it does not have a full choir but a powerhouse music minister who keeps well selected music a part of this special and friendly service.”

“American storage was fast and convenient considering I was working with real short notice. We were able to get our unit fast and quick. Units are clean and although the indoor unit was not climate controlled it worked well with our belongings. Nice and clean and the 24 hour service is very convenient. They also were very understanding with my payments being a day or two as long as I communicated and communicated receipts through email and texts. Thankyou american storage and staff”
