J Kimrey, that man was one of the many ghosts that haunt that cemetery, guests to the cemetery report seeing a man holding a shovel and when approached, he tends to scream at the guests and chase them out of the cemetery holding the shovel towards them. when I went to the Damascus Pioneer Cemetery I heard footsteps behind me, saw a woman's apparition, and I caught two orbs in a photo. The cemetery is open to the public for visitors and people who have lost family members. The Damascus is one of the most haunted cemeteries in America. I love it there because I love ghosts. But in total there are around 15 different ghosts at the Damascus Pioneer Cemetery, A shovel wielding man, a 39 year old woman entity, a dark shadow man, 2 phantoms, an angry old man, an elderly woman, ghosts of 3 young children, A phantom ghost car that passes the roads on very rare occasions, a teenager that screams at guests from the far corner of the Cemetery, a bride, a little 5 month old baby, a 40-50 year old woman that whispers in guests ears.
Glad to just visit...😉....
what a really well cared for beautiful resting place.
Nice place but NOT haunted in any way shape or form I went to every corner and as far back as I could and seen nor heard anything ! Some of these reviews are crazy lol and I laugh. I came 2 days in a row just to try again.
Went ghost hunting there early one morning. No ghosts but is a beautiful place with lots of amazing history. Beautiful headstones etc. You can even see the grave of a civil war vet. Great place to visit.
