  Sandy Avamere is absolutely amazing!!! My father lived in their memory care unit called the Arbor for the past 8 years or so. They took excellent care of him from the day he arrived, as he slowly digressed from dementia and right up through his passing last month. The staff there from Angela at the front desk, to Debbie in the admin, to the campus directors/Arbor directors and especially all of the amazing people who took care of my father day in and day out have been such a massive blessing to my dad, myself and my family! I have two other friends whose fathers have been in the memory care side and they were also very impressed. Whether it is the assisted living side or the memory care side I HIGHLY recommend you consider Avamere at Sandy for your or your family members needs! Thank you to everyone who played a part in caring for my father Raymond over the past 8 years! YOU are awesome and I/we so greatly appreciate you!!!

  The people at Avamere at Sandy are all unsung heroes. We needed a place for an elderly family member and finding a place during Covid was a challenge. Susan of Avamere at Sandy has made this whole process so easy. She is knowledgeable and communicates well the steps needed to be taken. Her employment at Sandy is her mission and joy in life. We could not have found a better advocate for the elderly and a hand to hold as she helped us navigate the quagmire of Medicare and Medicaid. If you need a place to care for your family member or friend I recommend Avamere at Sandy hands down over other care facilities. From Susan to Deb to Alex to Amy to the care nurses and other staff we have had nothing but a positive relationship. We are extremely grateful to Susan and all the staff. Their enthusiasm and joy of life is exactly the encouragement needed when care for a family member gets difficult. Thank you Susan. Thank you to everyone at Avamere.

  Love the experience I have had with Avamere. Mom has resided here for over 2 1/2 years. The caregivers are exceptionally caring and responsive to mom's needs. Staff is pleasant from the top: Alix, Mary, Amy, Jess, Susan just to name a few down to the custodian staff and house cleaning. Mom is so happy and content.

  My husband had parkinsonism, problems with frequent falls and hallucinations. The staff was very good about keeping him safe from falls and understood his hallucinations. He had most of his care on the memory side of Avamere for a little over a year. During that time the staff was very friendly, kind, compassionate and helpful to both of us.
  
  Their activities, entertainment and games were a lot of fun and you could see that most of the residents enjoyed them. The facility was clean, the food was good, and the residents always had two choices of what they could eat.
  The administrator was very hands on. No matter what time of day I visited she knew exactly what was going on with my husband and what type of a day he was having. She would make suggestions for possible changes in his care and let me be as involved as I wanted to be.
  I would recommend Avamere at Sandy to anyone looking for a place for their loved one.
