Creation Woods

I've had Jeff cut 1x6 cedar fence boards, full 4x4's and 2x4. TWICE. He even cut me some replacement and extra lumber while I waited! Very pleased with Jeff's product and easy to work with.

Wonderful experience buying live edge wood slabs! Website had a very comprehensive list of the slabs available with prices listed ahead of time. The maple slabs I were looking at were rough cut to 3" thick to allow for a finish thickness of around 2". Many other sources I was looking at only rough cut to around 2" which is less than idea for a solid end thickness for a 10' long table. I reached out to Jeff in advanced and assured me the slabs I was looking for were available. When I arrived, Jeff let me look at the slabs and had no problems getting the slab I wanted from the middle of the stack! He and his friend were extremely helpful in loading the heavy 10' maple slab into my sedan. It needed a lot of maneuvering but they were both very patient and helpful and we got it loaded up! As a woman, I've visited lumber sources that we're judgemental and I didn't feel comfortable, but Jeff at Creation Woods made the experience very pleasant and really enjoyed meeting him and visiting his property. If you're looking for a wonderful small family owned lumber source with transparent pricing and very great customer service, you need to check out Creation Woods. Although an hour outside of Portland, it was more than worth the drive to get the perfect slab for a client. Disclaimer: I hardly ever write reviews let alone as comprehensive as this, but having searched as far as Seattle to Central Oregon (based in Portland) for live edge slabs, Creation Woods is a must for anyone looking for a supplier with solid live edge slabs and lumber. It really is a gem in the wood sourcing world. Thanks a ton Jeff and I will definitely be back in the future :)

He has a fabulous wood mill setup. I bought some mill ends and watched him work a few logs while loading. I'll be back to buy more for sure. Very nice work!

Jeff came to my property in North Portland to help mill a large cedar into 3" slabs. He is extremely knowledgeable about the proper way to mill and dry lumber. He was a great help in stacking the slabs and offered advice on how to appropriately dry them in our wet climate. He has a brand new portable mill and I would highly recommend creation woods for any milling services that you have. Him and his crew are hard workers and completed my job on time and on budget.

I had Jeff mill up a few fir and maple logs that were cut down 2 years ago. He did a phenomenal job, I highly recommend talking with him about your milling project. He showed up on time (you would be amazed how rare that is), finished ahead of schedule, was spot on with his estimate and most importantly did a great job cutting the wood. His helper even helped me move the stacked wood to a secure and dry location. Again, Jeff did a great job and we're really excited about the finished product.
