“I spent three and a half weeks in Porthaven. I do admit the care provided was not one-on-one care that was provided while I was in the hospital. However, I've spent time in several other rehab facilities that I considered true hell holes. Porthaven had good food, and most of the staff was kind and considerate. The director of nursing, Alise, had more brains than a few of the doctors I've had! Alise was a problem solver. I had plenty of problems and was glad there was someone with half a brain onsite who understood. My only regret is that I didn't stay a little longer. I should have listened when they told me I wasn't ready to go home.”
