D&D MACHINE

I took my 318 block to D&D after another local shop messed up on the same lifter bore 3 times. Dave and David were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Not only did they fix the lifter bore, but they went the extra mile to go over the whole block and ended up fixing a few other mistakes made by the previous shop. They were more than willing to explain things that I didn't know. And they did the whole thing for free. D&D made a very long and stressful process a lot less long and stressful. I'll definitely be recommending them to anyone I talk to!

We had D & D hot tank and bore our engine block, and the cylinder head had just about everything done that could be. Valves and guides, valve seats, stud threads renewed. These guys did everything our tired engine needed. their work was accurate and professionally done! We were impressed! The tolerances are factory correct, it's beautiful workmanship. The engine is new internally. It runs beautifully! I'm impressed with the quality work D & D did for us. It's a working shop so don't expect carpet and piped in music. You want honest, skilled machine work for your money these are your people! I will never go anywhere else. Christopher Dobbs

There always swamped so there not the fastest turnover but if you can give them the time the best machine work around ! They know all the little mods that make so much difference ! So in my past 4 experiences not using them it’s not worth your parts getting destroyed to get them done faster than last place I used I would call them the “unmachine shop” cause my stuff was way worse coming back than when I sent it in! UPDATE 2/10/25 THEY STILL ARE BADASSES CHECK OUT PICS !! I mean who actually takes the time to make sure the writing on the freeze plugs is right side up ?? These guys again awesome work I’ll post more pics as I put together

I used to build a lot of motors for work, mostly four stroke singles for dirt bikes, but I learned on blown alcohol nostalgia dragsters, so when it came time for a fresh motor for my work van, the thought of paying someone else to put my motor together just didn’t sit well with me. They’ll sell you the parts you need, they’ll advise you as to the best path forward, and they’ll even help you load and unload. Oh, and the price? I hate to say it, but they could charge more. You won’t find a better machine shop in the Portland area!
