I have stayed at this motel four times and every time they provide consistent high quality service. The staff is very friendly and the price is right. As a contractor, I like to keep expenses low and value high. I recommend this Red Roof location over others in the area. They always accommodate any requests I have such as a refrigerator or a first floor room.
The location was clean, comfortable and convenient for my travels. Henry Patel, the resident manager, and his team were a delight to work with.
I made the mistake of booking a room with a queen size bed, which does not include a desk, instead of a king size bed and a desk.
While there, I walked next door to the Brown Derby and had a marvelous steak for dinner and down the block to Denny's for breakfast. There are several other dining options in the immediate area as well.
I was unsure of how this experience would go but I took a chance and was pleasantly surprised. I came to the Cleveland area for business and needed a place to stay during apartment hunting. The staff were very kind, very friendly. Mr. Henry, the GM, is a very sweet guy and really took his time and worked with me (I'm really particular about where I lay). The customer service - nothing short of SPECTACULAR!
The room was clean enough that I felt comfortable staying and walking around in my socks (no dirty bottoms of socks). They are pet friendly and I didn't have to worry about the room smelling of urine (nor would I leave it that way!!). The building is a bit older but they have done well by introducing more modern furniture and accessories in the room. The faucets run hot and are not clogged. That's heavenly when you have worked a long day.
There were times that I could hear others through the walls and door but for the most part it is really quiet around the premises. The air unit was a little noisy but blows heavenly air. There is everything you could need in the area and require no more than a 10 min drive.
With all of that said, I would absolutely recommend staying here. It's a little a hidden gem!!! I think this will be my place to hide out from my teen and our puppy when they get on my nerves. (hehehe)
The room was very clean and staff was friendly. It's an older hotel so I didn't expect it to be like the Ritz or anything, but it sufficed for my 2 night stay while passing through. I didn't go to the lobby for breakfast so I can't really review that.
I only had 2 issues- price and my next door "neighbor". I felt that $300 for 2 nights on a non holiday weekend was quite high, especially since there weren't any amenities like a pool or fitness center.
My neighbor was loud and creepy. He made a pass at me and just made me feel very uncomfortable. Obviously my 4 star rating doesn't include this person because it's not the hotel's fault. I could have switched rooms, yes, but I decided to stay on my own accord. I wanted to voice it here, though, in case anyone stays next to room 217... I think that person stays there long term. Just keep an eye out.
