This review is strictly for the Garage Door, which is a concert venue downstairs right across from Bob's Bar.
This is a very tiny venue, with a few tiny tables scattered around the perimeter, but each seat provides a good view of the stage. The PA system was notably good, sounding very clean and very clear, without being too loud.
Grand Lodge also has the signature McMenamins quirkiness or charm, depending on your point of view. As an example, you will see bathrobe-clad patrons wandering about on their way to the spa, which is right around the corner from the stage.
Getting food and drinks is very convenient in that Bob's bar will bring it right to your table.

The rooms are tiny and I got a queen with private bathroom for $209. The room was the tiniest hotel room I have ever stayed. They charge $161 for a room that you have to share a bathroom with other guests. But the lodge itself is full of character and a little creepy. It was a fun experience but not sure the pricing for this area is really this accurate. Breakfast was wonderful! Movie theater experience was also nice. Even with the tiny room, it was cozy but not comfortable for plus size people.

Fun fun fun...Well it was until dinner at the iron works, out of the wine I selected, then out of New York steak?, Who runs out of ny Steak? And no fires outside, because of recent Storm they have no wood. Update 03/12/22. Everything is getting back to normal although the wine selection was a little bit thin but I was able to select a very good wine at a very reasonable price, they did have steak in my case a prime rib. Only one fire going but that's because there wasn't a lot of people outside. First day of no masks, it's weird I don't recognize anybody without the masks?

Just wow, the portions ALONE are worth it.Ordered some chili cheese fries as an appetizer, got a meal for 3. Then the main course meatloaf which is absolutely delicious. The loaf itself is so juicy and rich with flavor, I'm jealous mine never comes out like this. The glazed carrots are sublime, they melt in your mouth into a sweet mess. So soft they practically fall off the fork from their own weight. The mashed potatoes are great creamy and rich with flavor, what surprised. Me most are their option of two gravies cream or brown. Then finally the beef stew, at first glance it looks more like a watery soup than a stew. But the explosion of flavor was so intense I quickly forgot my geipes. There's no way I'm finishing all this, but man is it great. Place is fantastic and has a very 90's diner feel, staff is so helpful and friendly you can't but feel at home. A must try place, you won't be disappointed.
