“I joined Hillsboro Shotokan Karate (HSK for short) in 2017, and have never regretted that decision. Sensei Joseph is an amazing instructor who manages to inspire people to give their 100% every class, and is someone who helped me bring my Karate to the next level. His passion for Karate is really apparent, as is his dedication to helping students excel. He is extremely knowledgeable and is always willing to share that knowledge with students to help them better understand Karate. Karate has helped me gain self-confidence, fitness, and discipline, and has given me the confidence to defend myself if needed. The HSK community is a really welcoming and accepting place, where everyone shares a passion for Karate. I can't really say anything bad about HSK even if I tried, and I would really recommend joining the club if you are interested in martial arts! Even in quarantine the training is still going strong, as Sensei Joseph is keeping the classes going over zoom.”

“I have been getting allergy shots with this clinic for around 3 years now and they are just the most amazing people. The staff are incredibly friendly. They know me by name and ask me how I am and we talk like old friends. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for shots. They are good at what they do and make waiting 30 minutes after shots a fun pleasant experience. It’s not like sitting in a sterile boring doctors office, these people treat you like family and you will instantly fall in love with Emily and April. After just a few visits, the difference I feel in my back is huge! He uses a heating pad prior to adjustments which I find to be very relaxing. He’s not only a professional artist, but someone you would wish upon as a barber. Someone you can shoot the breeze with while getting cleaned up. He looks out for you and appreciates all his clients. I always stand up from his chair smiling and walk out of the True Heart Barbershop door feeling fresh and looking good (and for me that’s saying something).
