Unique auto museum with emphasis on local midget racers. Admission is free. Plenty of parking.
had so many motors and parts from every era! wonderful place to see so many race cars and history of racing! much much bigger inside than it looks from the outside. loved it!
Even if it wasn't free for visitors, I would highly recommend this place for the gear head or race fan in your family. We got lucky when we happened to visit on a day when they were actually racing vintage cars on the old fairgrounds race track - awesome!
Even if you're not a "car person", this is a museum through and through, so there's plenty of history - local and otherwise - to take in. If you *are* a car person, you owe it to yourself to check it out.
My husband found this museum in our road atlas (a book with road maps for each state). This place is a great hidden gem!!!!! So much history about east coast racing. It is a treasure chest of vehicles, memorabilia, reading material and lots to learn. It is a great collection of dirt, sprint and drag racing history and the volunteers who work there are knowledgeable, personable and engaging. We truly enjoyed our time there. As most people would probably be, we were surprised by no admission fee, so we gave a donation. Quite pleased to have found this museum!!!
This place is amazing. They have so may cars too look at and some really nice displays. The men running it are very friendly and want to share info with you. Best of all it is free they ask for donations which we gladly gave.

Ford Motor Co. still has all the artifacts — and memories — of the 1966 Le Mans race depicted in 'Ford v Ferrari' with Matt Damon and Christian Bale. Like for many drivers, racing sprint cars was... a stepping stone for A.J Foyt. After his sprint car successes, Foyt went on to become one of the most...

(717) 528-4300. I am in PA, from California, on business and had a day off. Like Ang T, I was on my way to Gettysburg and saw the sign for the museum. I really wanted to see Gettysburg so I proceeded to Gettysburg, hoping I would make it back in time to go through the museum. Coming back, I exit the...
Things to do near Eastern Museum of Motor Racing. Three of us wanted something to do on Black Friday other than shopping (the wives were doing that!). We decided to visit the Racing Museum.
Back in 1975, a group of early racing enthusiasts got together and began the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing, the first museum dedicated to open wheeled racing along the east coast. 100 Baltimore Rd., York Springs, PA17372-9611 GET DIRECTIONS. Local: 717-528-8279.
