Grand Theater

The Grand Theater is a cute little home town theater, with stage for performances as well as the big screen for movies. Our group really enjoyed ourselves today!

I recently discovered this small community theater. Small and intimate, every seat is good. I saw the Nutcracker, and it was wonderful. Ample parking too.

This is a great quaint little theater in the heart of Elizabeth, just the right size. Everyone is super friendly and they have many wonderful events

The venue was beautiful. The movie was played nicely. Was able to work with the half hour given to set up. I did not see the place prior to the day of the party so I was fully ready to follow what ever direction I was given to help this run smoothly. They wanted us to open presents with my son on the stage. What a wonderful idea. The kids were so excited. It was hard to keep them in their seats for the duration of this. As expected since they are in kindergarten. As instructed I started to bring the cupcakes to the stage. I'm just following what I'm told to do which isn't much but I'm easy I go with it And we figure it out. I got back to the entrance area to get some napkins and I hear the woman in charge saying something like "I don't even know what to do, I've never seen anything so unstructured so I guess I'm just gonna leave it" in a frustrated huff.
So with little guidance and just telling me where to go with little plan about this before hand. My planning was the part that was unstructured? A two hour time slot plus half hour to set up. A one hour and a half movie. Leaves 30 mins for happy birthday and presents. Should I have printed an itinerary or something? What needs structured in knowing I have 30 mins (or less) to do cake and presents. It really wasn't complicated.
So over all I give the location five stars. The customer service was kind most of the time. The planning and directions and response could have been different.
That part was just so... Strange and overreacted over very little.
That aside I think the party was lovely. I just hope this helps the next person know what to expect upon planning an event like this.

Quaint venue, friendly staff. Performance of Gypsy was fantastic. Will definitely return for more performances.
