This is a very nice good looking venue! Everyone was super friendly. The service was very good. Noise level before the bands started was very low. Lots of off street parking. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they do not have dividers between the urinals in the mens bathroom and none of the locks for the stalls work so anyone can just walk in in you. Other than that the place was great!
I had an awesome time there this evening! Very friendly atmosphere, good food and attentive waiter. He kept coming with the refills... a couple times it was before I even realized he came and went! They were strict with the under 21 visitors not being allowed to come back inside if they stepped out, which I appreciated, being there with a 20 year old son. We had traveled about 4 hours, as we went to see a music group there. I would definitely visit Jergel's again if the opportunity arose, and I'm pretty sure it will.
Place was cool, I like how they had a wrap around 2nd level balcony. Seemed like the band they had was local. They were playing Bruno Mars music most of the night and it was really good! Docking one star because the service left a bit to be desired. Often waited a long time at the bar and this dude made me walk all the way around to get to the bathroom when he could have just let me past a rope to walk 10 feet to the door. Not a big deal, but not 5 star
Jergel's is my favorite small venue to see a live band perform within a couple hours around. Understand, I live near Akron, Ohio and have seen a number of acts over the years. The drive is well worth it and highly recommend it to others to see a band or other artist.
The food is very good for not being a full-fledged restaurant and the bartenders always do a great job.
The only reason I give it 4 stars, instead of 5, is that you occasionally have rude people thinking they are more special than others. They obviously think this because they are "VIP" friends with certain higher up folks at the venue and have regularly gone to the higher profile concerts. The unacceptable woman and her uncalled for verbal outbursts were mentioned to the waitress at our VIP table and nothing was ever said to her. It happened not just the one time with our party, but at another concert with another table. It was as if our waitress or other wait staff were afraid to say something to the woman or had previously been told that she was an untouchable. Both times it was the same woman causing problems with people she clearly felt were beneath her.
All together, this is a fantastic place to see a live act, being able to get up close and dance front and center if your heart desires. We will most certainly be back in the future!
This venue is a good place to see bands. There is ample seating and floor space for a pit. The food & beverage prices are in line with other bars. The food is delicious, hot, & of good size portions. I did feel bad for our server because she was in charge of serving the whole upstairs area which totalled about 100 people. Her service was attentive and due to the large workload, very good. After the show when she was able to converse, she was courteous, friendly, and attentive. I recommend this great establishment. I saw 3 bands on this visit & would like to say all 3 bands totally owned their performances & therefore the crowd. The Butcher Babies were great as usual. Stitched Up Heart was much better than I thought they would be. I will actually go see them as a headliner. But most of all, INFECTED RAIN brought the A game to the stage & put on one of the best shows I've seen in years. If you can go see them. Thank you Jergel's for bringing them locally.
