My Mother (Lucille) came to Abode at age 98 after living in her home for 68 years and was extremely difficult and depressed. When it came to the point where she could not be safely left alone she became a resident of Abode, and the last two years of her life were the happiest I had seen her in 20 years. She loved the staff, food and the other residents who she called her home. It is a very difficult for a loved to have to go to a Personal Care Home, which for years Lucille resisted. But I can assure her going to Abode, not only as I said was the happiest I saw her in years ,but also I was assured that she was safe. It wasn't the things they had to do that makes Abode special, but the things they don't have to do that makes them special, i.e. they gave my Mom a wonderful 100th Birthday party, the Christmas Parties and the genuine care and concern that the staff shows their residents. I researched many facilities, and it is my highest recommendation for providers of real caring, concern and most important safety for your loved one, Abode is the value I found best. Bob G.
