(August 2, 2020, 2:25 pm)Always a pleasure to visit La Gourmandine. We usually hit the Lawrenceville shop but happened to be near the Mt Lebanon today. Everything we had was at least as good as the main shop's. Many familiar products and tastes. Love dropping in when we are in the area.

I appreciate your genuine concern regarding my experience and your food is quality, so I'm increasing my rating. Unfortunately, I don't plan on visiting this location again but would be open to visit others. I don't need a gift card or a refund. Quality service and experiences are just important to me. (May 20, 2020, 10:36 pm)Wow!! This is without a doubt the best French bakery I have ever been to (including in Paris itself). The chocolate almond croissant is absolutely amazing, I can’t get enough of La Gourmandine. I have been to most of their locations around Pittsburgh and this one definitely has a slight edge over the others. It doesn’t have much seating, but eat it there, take it home, I guarantee you will not be disappointed!

I must add, that I am obsessive compulsive. I am meticulous and don't trust people making my food.? Definitely not during the pandemic, not even family's food. This bakery I trust fully and am so happy they are open during this sad time for the entire world. They allow just one person in the store at a time. They wear gloves and masks and have part of the store blocked off so we are not near the cases of food and register. I'm grateful to see them keeping up their wonderful business and respectful of the lives they serve. Blessings to keep them, their families, and customers safe. Enjoy!!!???☕? (January 28, 2020, 5:29 pm)Just got a few pastries before going out to dinner on Sunday. We went late afternoon and the bakery was pretty busy. We didn’t order any but they also served soup. All the employees were friendly and knowledgeable and pleasant. They have a rewards program for repeat customers. Those pleasantries aside...the most important part...the pastries themselves are decadent and delicious. Very rich, very flavorful, tasty treats.
