Very knowledgeable and vets and technicians who treat your fur babies with compassion. They want to treat and resolve the issues. My Golden Retriever has been suffering recurring ear infections and scaley skin since she was a puppy and regular vet never resolved, but Pittsburgh Vet has diagnosed her skin issue and did an ear flush and she's 100% better.
I took my dog Mohawk Maxx into the ER. He couldn't breathe I could see he was dying. His heart was enlarged and he had pulmonary hypertension. If it wasn't for the great team of people that treated them he would have never made it! I always see reviews where people complain about the price. Or their pet didn't survive. I've had a lot of surgeries including open heart. Even under the best of care with the best doctors in the world not everybody survives. Doctors are doctors they're not God. They do their best, yes they are human and sometimes they make mistakes and if you don't think they go home beating themselves up at night your mistaken. They put their whole lives into doing this and they do their best but sometimes that's just not enough. And as regarding to the cost. The only reason Max is still alive is because of great doctors combined with great technology and that costs money.
I have a dog with allergies. 2nd time here no complaints. The Vet who we have been seeing explains a lot to me about my dog and her condition. Taking things one step at a time trying to figure it all out.
Dr. McAuliffe and all the staff and techs in PVSEC's dermatology department are incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, and kind. After months of treating my dog for allergies, recurrent infections, itchiness, and hair loss, I made an appointment here. Dr. McAuliffe suspected an immune-mediated disease, and the testing and results were incredibly prompt - without her, I likely would have put my dog on the wrong medication and he would have continued to decline. I am so grateful to have answers and be able to get my boy back on track. Dr. McAuliffe and all the techs treated my dog like family, helped calm his nerves, and I felt confident leaving him there for testing. They also answered all my many questions and spent time going over my concerns and his treatment plan. I can't thank the PVSEC Derm team enough, and I recommend them to anyone with a pet struggling with dermatologic symptoms - they are truly the best of the best.
Dr. Sargent and her team are friendly, extremely knowledgeable, caring, and professional. I was referred to PVSEC after my regular veterinarian could no longer help my dog. Although I do have an anxious dog, he loves the staff here. We have more procedures ahead of us, but I am happy with the care that my dog has received.
