Pittsburgh Performance Physical Therapy made it possible for me to get myself fit enough to play my double bass again. I struggled with tennis elbow before I went to see Dr. Wheeler and now I’m playing without pain.
Dr. Wheeler is thoughtful , effective, and cares about each person she sees in her clinic. I’ve had the great fortune to be under her care for a debilitating neck issue and have returned to almost complete recovery without any of the surgeries my doctors wanted to perform.
Her clinic is clean, and I feel she respects the knowledge I have of my own body and supplements that with her training and experience. She’s been generous with her time and energy.
She also cares for folks of all different races, education levels, and social backgrounds so I never feel dismissed or less than. Parking is easy and there’s often good music. Aces all around.
I worked with both therapists during my time with Pittsburgh Performance Physical Therapy, and they were both wonderful! After ORIF following a car accident, they worked with me to get back to full functionality. I can jog, wear heels, and live life just like I did before the accident. They're skilled, knowledgeable, and professional.
I highly, highly recommend Dr. Wheeler. Last fall, I fractured my arm, luckily without displacement of the bone affected. The doctor recommended physical therapy. My wife had a good experience with Dr. Wheeler in the past, and after a very successful course of physical therapy, I confirm her positive recommendation.
Dr. Wheeler took careful measure of my arm motion, and by the end of the course of therapy the motion and strength had returned to my injured arm. I simply would not have known the proper exercises at the start, when common movement created pain. Dr. Wheeler was a very good teacher in guiding the initial and gradual increase in exercise. I believe that without Dr. Wheeler's therapy, my recovery would have taken much longer and might still not be complete.
Dr. Wheeler is a great physical therapist. She began treating me for a lower back issue which successively resolved and also was able to identify why I was constantly getting injured on my left side while running. Her astute diagnosis has allowed me to get back to running and stay healthy. Dr. Wheeler is a great practitioner and a great listener. I highly recommend her.
