(July 26, 2022, 1:12 pm)I bought a chainsaw there maybe seven years ago, and I've only had to use it a couple of times, when storms blew down trees in my yard. This past weekend I lost two more large trees, and I was using that same chainsaw until it stopped for some reason. I took it early Sunday morning down to Gil-Con, and asked that it be serviced. I told the gentleman behind the counter what was happening, and he told me I must've hit the emergency brake by mistake. Now he could've easily taken my money to do a job that was unnecessary, but instead I walked away five minutes later with a working chainsaw. Honesty and integrity go along way with me...Thanks!
(June 5, 2022, 11:40 pm)Fed up with my Ryobi going on labor stikes i came in here last minute for a stihl trimmer. I am so glad i did! Jeff was busy & getting ready to close yet he still welcomed me into the store & took the time to fulfill my order. He was polite friendly & very helpful. He even took the time to get me registered for my warranty & give me a run through demonstration on operating my new trimmer. Before i left he made sure i had the manual & it's included tools plus a pair of safety glasses. Top notch store, staff & trimmer! Ty you've earned a loyal customer in me. 😊
(December 17, 2021, 2:53 pm)Had a problem with a less than year old Toro lawnmower and checked for warranty service centers. Called a local one and was asked for a $50 deposit and was told at least 6-8 weeks to get it back. Called Gil-Con and was told to bring it right in - no deposit, no hassle and I had it back in 2 days. Wonderful people there. Would recommend them to anyone.
