Modern Transmission Repair

I found Modern Transmission through a referral from a local shop where I live, they do not do drive line work. I needed a center support shaft bearing on my Tacoma. Previously, I had been waiting for over 3 months with a Toyota dealership who said that they were waiting for the part, some sort of national shortage on parts. Well, that doesn't make the issue go on hold, it just got progressively worse. I spoke with John, told him about my situation and what needed to be repaired, along with a new universal joint. Made an appointment so they could assess the problem. John told me approximately how much it would be and that it could be done in one day. It was done in one day and cost about what he said which was very reasonable considering what the Toyota Dealership was going to charge. I had this work done towards the end of February. They were very professional and polite, did exactly what they said and there were no surprises, which is rare these days when it comes to the auto industry. I highly recommend Modern Transmission and if I ever have any other drive line issues, that's where I am going.

I have to say.. The owners are great people who take pride in there work they do. I recently had another bissness tell me that you can't rebuild the rear differential in my 15 gmc 3500 duramax because it would cost way to much money. Found modern transmission and took it in. He found the problem, fixed the problem and warranties his work. Have to say.. I Thank you and your mechanics at Modern transmission. You have a customer for life! I bought a 1990 Mercedes 420SEL as a project car that I knew needed a transmission. I called 12 shops - literally 12 shops - and every one of them said no they didn’t want to work on it. Modern transmission is the only one that said yes. I told them I was in no rush but to get it fixed up. They did just that. They were communicative and got the job done. I can’t thank John and the crew enough. I’ll be taking the 420 there for future repairs.

I took my 08 F150 to them with major transmission issues and serious knocking in my front suspension. John kept me updated every step of the way as they analyzed what was going on. Turned out my transmission needed a complete overhaul and my upper control arms were shot. Yesterday I picked it up, and it honestly shifts and rides better than when I first bought it!
I went from being at my wits end with my truck, and just wanting to trade it in, to enjoying driving it more than I ever did! Thank you so much John, Shea, and the entire crew! You are the BEST!!!

I recently moved to town and contacted Modern Transmission Repair on the recommendation of a neighbor. I believed my transmission was going out. They evaluated my car and there was nothing wrong with the transmission! (Turns out that cars roll a little while stopping on hills and I wasn't used to it coming from a flat terrain! ) They did a diagnostic test but gave me a discount because they realized early on my transmission was fine! They easily could have told me my transmission was shot and charged me a lot of money! This business is amazing, especially Shay and John! I will continue to do business with them (they do more than just transmissions)! It is so hard to find an honest, reliable, reasonable auto business! I cannot sing their praises enough!
