This park deserves 5 stars because of its affordability. It’s easy access, and short wait times for rides. I found my self at most waiting in line for 30 minutes. No longer than that. I managed to get on all the big thrill rides once within 4 hours of being at the park. I bought my tickets online and saved my self a little bit of money. It costs 53.99 for an adult online compared to 60$ at the entrance. The park bag security was not the best. I could have easily snuck in a weapon or firearm into the park... that’s a little concerning to be honest. Especially during times around the pandemic people have high egos and are very hot headed. Anyways this park is still great and super friendly I was able to chat a little bit with a ride attendant while waiting in line at steel curtain and she gave me the best advice on how to ride all the rides and what direction to take. She was super cool I can’t remembered name but she was drinking a sour head bang. Thank you Jenny wood for a great day.
A classic for sure...one of the first amusement parks ever opened and probably one of the longest running. Multiple rides and attractions are on the national historic registry. Multiple unique roller coasters that really have no comparable similar. Two coasters (Thunderbolt and Steel Phantom) make very unique use of the terrain in their design. Also have vary modern coasters as well, the new Steel Curtain is *awesome*! You have to get fries from the Potato Patch...
Kennywood is a fantastic place for a fun date, something fun to do with the family or even just a day away, it has something to offer for everyone. Rides cater to both young kids, relaxed riders and extremists who wanna push the limits. The food is expensive but that comes with being in an amusement park. Park facilities are cleaned and well maintained.
First time there in years. Definitely different. Of course so am I. Some of the rides, games, and food concessions were not open, not sure why so that was a little bit of a bummer but we still had a nice time. Was a little pleasantly surprised that all of our interactions with strangers were very nice. Maybe I just forgot what it was like to be back in public and there are still good folks out there. And that's how it happened......
Thomas Town was great , the coasters were fun , and lines were okay . The workers were busy cleaning and we had a blast. The beer garden was not open on a Saturday but we went only 3 days after the opening day so maybe they are trying to find more employees to help with operation of everything. Overall a nice park but doesn't even compare to Cedar Point
