CSL Plasma

I was a little nervous because while I had given blood before this was the first time I gave plasma. It was not too much different from giving blood. The staff was friendly and I had no ill effects while I was there. I will be going back soon. I think everyone should contribute at least once.

I have never considered donating plasma until a close relative of mine was diagnosed with a medical condition in which is plasma is used for the treatment. Having someone close going through a medical situation prompts you to educate yourself on everything you can find relating to the situation. My findings? Plasma truly does save lives; And it is needed more than ever.
With this knowledge, I located my nearest donation center- CSL Pittsburgh. All of the first time donor information on their website was easy to follow and made me feel more comfortable and confident about donating. I went to donate the following day and left happier than I was entering.
I was greeted by friendliest staff and was walked through the entire process with a staff member by my side since it was my first donation. The initial screening is very thorough and takes a little time but it was reassuring to me to see how serious the staff follows guidelines and procedures, along with how skilled these professionals really are.
With no prior knowledge of how their compensation worked for my plasma donation, I was amazed with how beneficial and rewarding donating with CSL really is. In additional to immediate [ GENEROUS ] payment, there is also a reward programs where you can earn even more money donating. Even though the money was not the reason I donated, it is definitely the icing on the cake.
I highly recommend at minimum stopping in to your local CSL center and see what "Good for You. Great for Life." is really all about!

Couldn’t have went better. Very clean atmosphere. Felt safe. While giving plasma, I was checked on constantly to make sure I was ok. DEFINITELY will be going back!!!
