“I fully support buying local and I think everyone who works here are very helpful but I will no longer purchase my paint or deck stain from them. I bought a can of deck stain (not cheap) in October. I opened it and it needed to me mixed; my paint stick wasn’t doing it. They said they were unable to mix it since I had opened it. I call Home Depot and they were happy to mix it for me even though I didn’t purchase from them. It is frustrating that I had to drive to Janesville to get the customer service needed from a big company that doesn’t support my community. I still love the local hardware store but I’m very disappointed.”

“I too think they have a fantastic inventory. They had almost every plant that I was interested in planting but I had a nice experience dealing with them. I had my landscaping done by Bennett's brother even though Bennett came to my home to design my job. He did explain that my job would be placed behind others who were before me but that was only fair. I went to the nursery to pick out all of my plants that Bennett recommended and found the plants to be of high quality. It did take a few weeks to have my landscaping installed due to the weather and their other job commitments but I was really pleased when his brother completed it. Their crew was very nice and worked quickly. Their price was the BEST compared to my other estimates I received so I didn't mind waiting for them. My yard looks great and my neighbors even compliment me. I won't hesitate to RECOMMEND them. Unlike the other review, my job wasn't thousands of dollars. Maybe they needed some plants that they did not have on stock. I did have to wait for my Sum and Substance hostas because they weren't available but they came back to finish planting them when they got them in.”

“For a local small-town hardware and equipment rental joint, this place is on the ball. It's always nice when you can support your local businesses as opposed to handing your hard-earned money over to the big box retailers, especially when these guys are located about a mile from my house. At times, I've caught myself visiting them two or three times in one day for project necessities. I've rented heavy equipment from them, gotten mulch, and bought many parts and materials for carpentry/plumbing/electrical/general construction and landscaping. It's very rare I can't find what I need in their shop and the two or three guys who typically help me are very knowledgeable and sometimes even very inventive and creative when I have an issue that requires some outside-the-box type of thinking. I'll continue to visit and be an Arnold's patron as long as I'm around.”

“I needed a blower motor 4 days before Christmas and Mars Supply is the only place that i could find one without having to order online and wait days to receive. I don't know why I didn't try Mars Supply first but I will be buying all home improvement supplies there for now on. They have great customer service and are very knowledgeable and helpful, we need more stores like this instead of big box stores that have terrible service and no knowledge of what they are selling. Also they were just as cheap if not cheaper for the same motor and i saved on shipping and also i can call Mars Supply if i run into trouble and he knows what he is doing and is willing to help you. This isn't the first time they saved me in a jam, they have almost anything you need or they will get it. Thank you very much for the great service and for being so helpful.”
