“Lightbridge was a saving grace after a terrible experience at a now closed daycare center. My family and several other families from the previous daycare followed the Director and Assistant Director to Lightbridge and I cannot overstate what a phenomenal establishment it is! Every employee there is professional, friendly, and motivated by providing exceptional care to the children. “My son started at a different daycare when he was 7 months and by 12 months I'd had enough of the constant staff changes and moving kids around to try to make ratios (which they were still not in compliance with). I was so relieved to find Tendercare! I am a primary school teacher and have worked in child care settings before so I can be picky, but the teachers and staff meet and exceed every expectation. You will never walk in and see a teacher that is not fully involved in the children and their work. They have a great mixture of play based learning with a more structured circle time that is completely developmentally appropriate. My son loves every second of his time at daycare, and that's the best recommendation for them I can give!”

“The Deer Lakes school "district" is small enough that teachers are able to treat the students as individuals and personalize their education. This is in contrast to larger school districts that have a more "assembly line" approach to teaching. The biggest flaw here is that the district is stuck teaching the PA state assessment tests instead of a well rounded education. East Union is for grades 3-5, and is somewhat unique in that students actually change classes twice a day. As well as allowing teachers to specialize in only 3 subjects (instead of 6), it also prepares the children for the constant changing of classes that will occur middle school.”

The programs and field trips are great and diverse. There are many activities for the children to participate in.
