Could not have asked for a more comfortable or interesting experience. If you appreciate history and hospitality, make sure you reserve a room at Heslet House. Breakfast was hearty and delicious. The story of the house, the surrounding village, and its inhabitants is truly something to hear. Every guest room at Heslet House is perfectly clean with impossibly comfortable beds, great amenities, and amazing architectural detail. You’ll love the hospitality and the quiet atmosphere. If you’re ever in the Pittsburgh area, do not overlook this jewel.
Fantastic in every way! The host were helpful but also were not too friendly. Breakfast was good, antiques shops in the area are fantastic. Overall this is a great place to stay with reasonable rates.
We have stayed in many B&B's and this was by far our best experience.
Heslet House is a beaufully preseved gem in the Ambridge Historic District. The guest rooms were very clean
beautifully appointed with period furniture and a super comfy bed.
Breakfast was a multicourse daily feast prepared by Dennis (best eggs!) and Rosemary from locally sourced foods and fresh from the oven muffins baked daily by Rosemary.
Dennis and Rosemary join us daily for breakfast where we had lively conversation on an arrange of topics, best being Dennis's extensive knowledge of historic Ambridge and the Harmony Society
The best part of our stay was meeting Dennis and Rosemary. They have created an environment that made us feel as if we were staying with family.
Thank you Dennis and Rosemary we are already planning our next visit!
They say there is no place like home, but should you find yourself away from home exploring Pittsburgh and its environs, we cannot recommend a better place to stay than Dennis and Rose Mary’s Heslet House B&B. Not only are the guest rooms in the restored (by the owners!) 1824 house peerless, but Dennis and Rose Mary will take care of you like parents.
The family-style breakfast-table setting together with other guests and the hosts lends itself to fascinating and unexpected conversations. Once you rolled away from the breakfast table with all the excellent homemade breakfast items, you will not want to spoil your satisfaction with lunch or dinner. Thank you, Dennis and Rose Mary, it was a pleasure!
The most adorable bed and breakfast! The food was fresh and delicious! Rosemary and Dennis are the best hosts and it was nice to sit with them and chat over coffee! My husband and I absolutely adored our stay and the room felt felt so homey and comfy! I wish we remembered to write in the thank you book!
