Buttermilk Falls Natural Area

I had a great experience going there. Nice people who work there. I would recommend this local to anyone. I love how you could go under the waterfall.

A beautiful secluded spot, probably popular with local kids, but deserted when I visited. There is limited parking right at the beginning of the trail, and it's only a short walk (quarter mile) to a variety of rapids and the falls themselves. Very pretty, other than the graffiti. Be careful around the rocks as they are very slippery.

Nice little trail to walk. The falls aren't anything breath taking but they are cool to see. Lots of glass on the ground so just be careful.

The walk to the falls is nice and fairly easy. Pretty waterfall, there were some swimming and exploring some cave like areas. Some trash and glass behind the falls not cool, but still a nice visit overall.

I saw a sign for Buttermilk Falls a few years ago and had been wanting to go ever since. When my boyfriend and I finally went on one of the first really nice spring days, it was just lovely.

There is a really nice trail leading down to the bottom of the falls, and plenty of steeper shortcuts you can take if you're feeling adventurous. There is a great view from the top of the falls and plenty of area around the falls and along the trail to explore.

There were also plenty of families with kids there, so it seems to be a good place to take children if you have them.

We definitely plan to go back when it gets even warmer to explore more.
