I broke my ankle in 2009 racing motocross which kept me from running for almost 10 years (left ankle would swell like a balloon).
Two doctors recommended lateral ankle reconstruction surgery (using cadaver ligaments) and both said that I would ultimately be needing ankle replacement surgery. No way was I going to have ankle replacement surgery and the outlook for the reconstruction was not great. After learning more about the process, I opted for stem cells. It took about 2 .5 months, but I can now run 3 days/per week with virtually no ankle swelling. Will get follow up x-rays in about two more weeks, expecting those to show good results.
I highly recommend this cell therapy if you are a candidate. As for Dr. Askar and the entire clinic staff...outstanding! Authentic, caring, and super knowledgeable team.
