We had a wonderful time at Raccoon State Park taking are grandsons fishing. Thank you to the Park Service for being so helpful and for the wonderful clean Park to visit.
Didn't go inside. They had some nice flowers planted outside, lots of information on events etc. I got a park map outside the office.
Great spot for maps, directions or if you need help. Stopped in to get a map of the park with hiking trails and found that they also sell fire wood for $5 a pack. Clean restrooms too. There is a hiking trail to the Mineral Springs waterfall just a few steps from here.
Love the modern cabins! Lakes. Fishing! Hiking! Swimming!
Spent the weekend in the group camp section. Our girl scout troop had a great weekend!

There is probably a way to get here on paved roads but I just took the shortest distance from google maps. It is on a public road but while we were there no cars past. It is very close to McClurg bridge so we drove over ...
