“A good camping location with many activities possible. Boating on two lakes, Hopewell and Scott’s. Miles of trails with challenging terrain with mountain atmosphere. Additionally, the state park neighbors nature preserves and a National Historic Site which are accessible by trail or road.”

“A good walk through beautiful hillsides covered with fields. Wonderful views of surrounding hills and forests. We saw pheasant and one hunter with his dog. We were glad we were wearing bright orange this time of year. Path goes uphill all the way from the River Trail. Washed out sections are not a problem for hikers.”

“Receptionist is very friendly and helpful with anything you need. She has helped me, the few times I stopped in, without any problem or complaint. She dropped what she was doing every time and made sure my questions were answered even the time I showed up about a permit minutes after she got there one morning. I expected to wait for her to get settled but she took care of me right away. Also I called once because the union township park with the boat launch near the office was closed. Gate locked. She let me know the have to lock it up over the winter month because of a few idiots (my words not hers) that think it’s cool to rip the area up doing donuts in their cars or trucks but she got someone to unlock the gate that same day. Thanks you for caring and going out of your way for the residents.”

“The only place I like to camp in proximity of philly, always taking international students here. Plenty of trails to hike on, loads of fun for any age of toy like the outdoors. Never had an issue with mosquitoes here either now that i think of it.”

“First of all it's a huge walk in pool and it's CLEAR and CLEAN. Boating right next to pool, not far to walk. Bathrooms are BIG and CLEAN. Overall it's a great place to go and it out does Marsh Creek any day”

“The one photograph here looks more like a beaver dam than anything else. I assume what they are talking about here is the parking lot adjacent to the lake at French Creek State Park. As far as parking lots go, it has pavement, painted lines that you can park your car in between and some extra long spots in case you might be towing a trailer because many people bring a trailer with a boat or canoes or Kayaks that they take out on the lake. I don't usually get too excited at parking lots, so I gave this one for stars. It's not a very big parking lot and many times I go there it is jam-packed, especially on the weekends in the summer. There really isn't enough parking for the amount of people who come there on weekends in the summer.”
