The owner always had FRESH LOCAL BREAD imported-- marble rye was so good we'd have him pick up an extra couple of loaves for our family.
Owner looked outwardly grouchy, but was actually a great dude all-around and kept a fun interesting store and local eatery.
UPDATE 2017: The grouchy-super-awesome old owner sold, new ownership. Can't vouch for them anymore bc owner's make a big difference. Reducing a star bc we dont go there anymore to have an opinion bc we moved farther away.
