Saxonburg Museum

You need to call or text email the museum to make an appointment to tour the museum. It is load with history of Saxonburg and surrounding area.

It kinda looks like the Brooklyn bridge and then it doesn't look like it at all. Still a fun thing to see on a road trip.

The replica of the Brooklyn bridge was fun to see in this small town park. The park is named after John Roebling the man who founded the town and built the real Brooklyn bridge

My hubby and I were playing Pokemon Go in Saxonburg today. This place is marked as a Gym, so we go there occasionally just to sit in the benches outside. Other than that, I've only ever visited Roebling Park to have picnics; I've never been in the museum. Today, we took a walk down there and decided we owed the museum a visit this time instead of just sitting outside of it.

First of all, I have to say, I was impressed with how neat and tidy everything was. It was immaculate! The man, who I'm assuming runs and takes care of the place, was very kind. He was passionate about the history of this little town. There were things I discovered today that I've never known about, and I've lived in the area for a while now. The collection was vast, there was so much to look at that I may have to go back someday.

Completely worth it to donate to this cute little, (and obviously) well-loved museum. You can tell someone put their heart and soul into it. I think I needed this today. Thank you.
