My grandparents attended services here for many years, and when they passed, we held their memorial services here. Although I'm not a member, just walking in, the sense of community they have created is quite evident & really inspiring. It really felt like all are welcome here, a truly Christian idea. The folks that helped with each memorial service were incredibly kind and supportive from beginning to end. It's in a beautiful area, and on beautiful grounds. Lots of history there. Although I am not a member, not even Christian, I can say this is a very special, unique place with a lovely community behind it, and will be forever grateful for the kindness shown to our family during our most painful losses.
Birmingham Friends Meeting provides a spiritual experience every Sunday for all ages. When we first started going there, the members made us feel like we were part of an extended family.❤️We are so happy we found Birmingham!
Caring community grounded in Quaker principles. All ages welcome and involved.
Amazing history. Great people. Very open and caring.
Nice location with views of the actual battlefield from the Battle of Brandywine (the Battlefield Park on US Route 1 is not actually situated on the battlefield itself). Peace garden and collective mass burial of Crown and Patriot forces in meetinghouse cemetery directly next to the meetinghouse. The cemetery is always open (per the sign at the gate).
