Shaded, flat, paved trail - you can get 6 miles end to end!
The Struble Trail is a great place to go if you want to ride your bike, go for a walk, go for a jog, take your dog for a walk, take your baby for a walk in the stroller, hop skip or jump, :-) Etc. It is a paved trail about two to two-and-a-half miles long that is about 12 feet across, and it runs right along side of the Brandywine River. It is for the most part a trail that goes through the woods so it's very picturesque, and there are lots of nice views of the woods and of the water, as well as wildlife that you see in and around the water. One time I was walking the trail, and I saw a bald eagle cruising right above the water of the Brandywine Creek about 20 feet up, and he was scanning side to side looking for an animal that had come down to the water for a drink. I imagine if that animal was small, that it would have been dinner for that bald eagle. It was a majestic sight, and I really wish I had it on video. This Trail is open all year round, so you can do your exercise, go for a walk or whatever you want to do there pretty much anytime except when it's dark out of course.
Limited parking, but I have only had issues finding a spot during peak summer hours on weekends
Nice level trail. Benches every so often. Highly recommended for an easy walk
Great trail to walk the dog
