(January 5, 2019, 10:44 am)La Maison was a very nice and joyful experience. The restaurant is located outside of Pottstown, just a few miles from Saint Peter's Village. My girlfriend and I previously lived in Pottstown and were familiar with the area so we went for her birthday. The chef and his wife (Martin and Janet) have converted their historical house into an elegant French themed restaurant. The atmosphere is very nice with separate dining rooms and several tables for couples to enjoy their privacy. The rooms have nice décor with pictures, bookshelves, fresh flowers, and candle-lit tables. The menu is written entirely in French, but Janet was very kind to answer any questions and explain the dishes. One of the features I enjoyed most was the soft French music playing in the background. It definitely gave it that feel of a night out in Paris. They also have a cute large bulldog that swayed slowly throughout the rooms to look at all the people. He is a very nice dog and a pleasure to have company with. He didn't bother anyone, he just sat at the side and looked around. Martin was very friendly and walked throughout the dining rooms between courses to make sure the dish was to everyone's liking and answer any additional questions.
The restaurant is expensive, but worth it for the uniqueness. The food was delicious and they even pack up your leftovers to take home. I just started to get into cooking as a hobby throughout the past 2 years and I like to try new things to get inspired. I'm sure I am years away from being able to craft dishes as good as these, but you never know unless you try. I highly recommend checking it out for those who enjoy fine food and an elegant experience.

(September 20, 2018, 12:53 pm)La Maison is one of our very favorites! Martin’s food is always AMAZING!! Janet is such a lovely person and so welcoming. The atmosphere is relaxed and intimate — perfect for a couple’s night or a gathering of dear friends.
Maybe the best recommendation I can give is that during major construction on our home this year we had Soup Supper at La Maison EVERY Thursday night from March thru July! Looking forward to Thursday nights was our salvation and respite.
You will not be disappointed in any meal that Martin creates. It is wonderful, decadent French cuisine at its finest with generous portions and served with kindness and conviviality, absent the haughty attitude of many French restaurants/bistros.
(August 31, 2018, 8:19 pm)This is a bucket list place to eat! INCREDIBLE!! I would have never realized this place existed if I didn't hear about it from a friend. If you love food, you have to come here. It costs more than a regular restaurant, but it's so worth it! The menu changes based on what's in season. You don't pick what to eat, the chef does that for you, and you are rewarded with his expertise... Fantastic!! I wish I could give more stars...
