“They were very nice and accommodating being that I was 20m late, while still agreeing to see my 7yr old daughter for a new patient. My daughter was a little time consuming but the optometrist took her time and was knowledgeable and informative. I will be coming back for her next year exam. Besides this situation, I do go get my eyes checked for glasses and contacts examinations and have always had a pleasant experience. They also don’t ever hesitate to adjust my eye glasses I’ve had for 2 yrs now. So I have no complaints and when I do go I know it will be pleasant easy and stress free! Highly recommend it!”

“I have had my 6 month old there for three months and I have never seen my child being more loved or cared for by the staff and management. My baby is happy when I drop her off, clean, happy and relaxed at the end of the day when we pick her up. Management is always stepping up and we are very happy at our decision of picking this place to watch our baby.”

“This location of Smashburger is the best. Every time I'm in the area, I go here to eat. I'm from another state. The food is delicious and the staff are courteous and helpful. My husband and I stopped here in between shopping today. He ordered a classic burger with an extra patty, tots, and an oreo shake. He scarfed it down so quickly. I had a crispy chicken sandwich (they have the best) with fries and a chocolate milkshake. I am allergic to all fish and all nuts and I don't have to worry about my allergies here. They use a different shake blender for their peanut butter milkshakes and they don't use peanut oil. As we were eating, the Manager, Tom and the other workers came around to ask how everything was, to clear plates, and see if anything was needed. They came by a few times and someone was always cleaning something. The restaurant is clean and the staff is very kind.”

“What an amazing organization!! It looked like I would have to spend hundreds of dollars to get help completing the application for Aid and Attendance properly. But then I somehow found Veterans Financial. Their purpose and approach is unbelievable: that veterans deserve their benefits and it should be as easy and straightforward for them as possible – without charge. Everyone with whom I spoke was terrific – knowledgeable, caring, and thorough! When I was ready with my application packet, Maryanne walked me through the forms field by field to make sure my responses were complete and appropriate. She even helped me write a letter for expedited processing due to the veteran’s age. Here’s a tip… Two weeks after the Veterans Administration received the application packet, I called the VA and was told the estimated completion would be almost 4 to 5 months later. I expressed my concern about my veteran's advanced age, and the VA rep sent the Pension Center a request to expedite the file. Veterans aged 85 and up qualify for expediting. It’s worth the effort to make a follow up call. The decision was made exactly one week after my call. My veteran received his award letter ONE MONTH after the VA had received the packet! I am VERY grateful to Veterans Financial for all their help, support, expertise, and caring. Thank you for being there!”

“ I a recent UNCW alumni, and from start to finish have purchased/rented my books from these guys-and not once have I had an issue with them. That said, and with all due respect to the above review, I honestly cannot see how they got such a big chip on their shoulder. The points they brought up are valid concerns, but if they had actually taken the time to ask one of the people who work there (all of whom I have found to be friendly and helpful when help was needed), about them-like I have-then they would have few things to have issue with. I will admit that I have several friends who work there, BUT all this means is that I have more insight regarding their situation. I am not simply covering for them. That said I would like to address the above reviewer and their points. Blocked emails: It is not a matter of "changing" anything. UNCW (specifically the on campus bookstore) has actively blocked all access to course listings, students' emails, and any changes that may be made by a prof. to their course. In short the campus store has done everything in their power to blind them. Why? Well it could be due to the fact that they offer better prices, or if nothing else match it to the penny. Notifications of rentals due: I, and everyone I know of who has rented from them, have been asked for their email for the EXPRESS purpose of notifying them as their rentals come due. Maybe you should, I dunno, check your spam filters? Money grubbing: Like I said before: they will AT THE LEAST match other stores prices-and I'm pretty sure they throw in an extra %10 off as well. Really, they have flippin signs advertising that everywhere. So, my advice to the above reviewer is to GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT before you go smearing the reputation of a good store and the people who work their butts off there. Seriously, you're in college. Are your papers pure conjecture as well?”
