She even helped me write a letter for expedited processing due to the veteran’s age. Here’s a tip… Two weeks after the Veterans Administration received the application packet, I called the VA and was told the estimated completion would be almost 4 to 5 months later. I expressed my concern about my veteran's advanced age, and the VA rep sent the Pension Center a request to expedite the file. Veterans aged 85 and up qualify for expediting. It’s worth the effort to make a follow up call. The decision was made exactly one week after my call. My veteran received his award letter ONE MONTH after the VA had received the packet! I am VERY grateful to Veterans Financial for all their help, support, expertise, and caring. Thank you for being there!”
