Whether it was called Do It Best or now that it's changed to Ace Hardware, we've always known that we could stop in and find most of the things we need to start, continue or finish any project. However, we miss seeing the former owner, Pat, who passed away, because he was somewhere in the store 99% of the time and always made time to shoot the breeze and help out.

They have a good selection of plumbing, electrical, gardening, hardware and general household supplies. They offer key cutting, special ordering and rental of rug scrubbers. My one complaint about the rug scrubber that we rented about 2 years ago is that it honestly didn't clean our carpets very good at all. It left about a 2 inch space that was untouched against every wall. We were very disappointed.

Before I write about this incident, I need to first say that any other time we've gone in and requested assistance, the employees have always been very helpful- some even going above and beyond to make sure we got exactly what we needed. This employee did quite the opposite ... The problem we had happened recently - about 2 weeks ago. We had a leak in the pipe that feeds water to my washing machine. Right in front of the valve that turns on or off the cold water, the leak quickly went from a slow drip to a fast trickle. The pipes were installed many years ago and have a diameter of ⅝". My husband went in and asked the guy to help him find a fitting that would fit our pipes. Instead of listening to my husband explain about our old pipes, the guy proceeded to argue over and over that there is no such size in pipes. He talked over my husband and basically tried to tell him what our pipes looked like in our home. Disgruntled (and very close to losing it), my husband walked out. We immediately called The Home Depot. The guy who helped my husband, whose name was Larry, knew right away what we needed. Not only that, but when we got there, he had an alternate idea that was not only cheaper but worked even better. As you can clearly see, we wanted to support our local business, but in this case just couldn't do it. But also as I previously stated, the employees are normally very helpful, courteous and kind.

This is the best place ever. Great selection of items, and there’s store cats! Everyone is always so helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

We have worked with j spray for nearly 40 yrs and while some of the service people have changed, all are knowledgeable, dependable and professional. Great group to contact. It’s been a pleasure.
