I met the Curran team in Saltsburg 11yrs ago with the passing of my mother. Norman was amazing, so much so that we pre-arranged everything for my father. Eleven years later, Norman handled every detail including local coordination out-of-state, and all aspects required to properly honor my father back in Saltsburg. Compassionate, professional, and personal. I highly recommend Curran's team in Saltsburg.
My brother passed away very unexpectedly at the age of 33. Norm at Currans in Saltsburg was absolutely amazing throughout the whole process. He was compassionate, professional, easy to talk to, and handled all of us and our emotions so gracefully. They did an amazing job on his body, even giving him his classic “Joey smirk” (still have no idea how they knew!). They made a time that was so hard for all of us a little easier, if you unfortunately have to use these services, I strongly recommend them.
I would give this place 100 stars. Everything was handled professionally and perfectly. He answered every call, text and question. He went out of his way to offer one of his shirts when we realized a shirt sleeve shirt option that we packed may not be best. No one wants to plan a funeral for their father, but Norm at Curran made it seamless. I am so happy we chose to go with their business. I highly recommend the celebrant option. Norm took time with us to learn about our dad. It was the best service. He said what we were all thinking, but may have been too emotional to write and deliver so eloquently. I literally have no complaints. It is difficult to say my father had a great funeral, but you only get one chance to pay respects. Norm thought of things we would have never known about doing; the military discount, grave plaque and flag presentation. He had a huge beautiful picture of my dad when we walked in...who has an 11" x 14" of just their dad laying around for a funeral? Not us. Norm made it happen.
Jim and the people at Curran Funeral Home were outstanding for the burial of my mother. Their professional manner, handling of all logistics, even the care shown with the presentation of funeral cards/Thank you cards, and the video played during my mother's viewing was exceptional. My Thanks to Jim and all at the Curran Funeral home in Saltsburg, Pa.
Two weeks ago we lost our grandma unexpectedly. As we done in the past my family chose Curran Funeral Home in Saltsburg to hold her services. From the initial call to James, all staff were compassionate, respectful, and did everything they could to comfort our family. My grandma made pre-arrangements and chose to do a Celebration of Life (something we haven’t experienced before). Through her Celebration of life, Norm did an amazing job sharing her life with family and friends through heartfelt stories that told the story of what a great mother, grandmother, and great grandmother she was. Norm took the time to sit with my family to truly gain and understanding of who she was through our stories and memories. After the services it felt like Norm knew her as long as we did! Nobody wants to have to think of going through the loss of a loved one but choosing Curran’s Funeral Home will help make the process less stressful and they will treat you like family.
